About Answers in Revelation . org

Answers in Revelation is the Bible prophecy internet ministry of Tim Warner, pastor of Oasis Christian Church, Tampa, Florida. Its purpose is to expose and counter the widespread errors of popular modern eschatology, and prepare believers for the difficult times Jesus said would come just before His return to earth.

Jesus warned that most of His followers would fall away in the last days (Matt. 24:9-13). False eschatological systems will contribute greatly to the coming apostasy. Some of the primary errors of modern eschatological systems have roots in Greek philosophy. They crept into Christianity by stealth after the earliest Christian apologists overthrew the frontal attack on pristine Christianity -- Gnosticism. The "heavenly destiny" ideas of both Amillennialism and Dispensationalism are the product of the blending of Christianity with Greek philosophy, not from Apostolic teaching.

On this website you will find a straightforward and thorough biblical defense of the following points of doctrine:

  • The rapture is after the tribulation; Christians will go through all of it
  • Prepared believers must flee at the proper time to designated places of safety where they will be fed and protected by God for 1260 days
  • The eternal inheritance (destiny) of true Christians is not heaven, but the restored land which God promised as an everlasting inheritance to Abraham and his "Seed," who is Christ
  • The term "New Heavens and New Earth" refers to this restored earth and sky. The "New Jerusalem" is the city of Jerusalem restored, the capitol of the world in the 7th Millennium
  • Jesus will return to overthrow the nations and establish His physical reign over the earth at the end of the 6th millennium. (We are very close)
  • While these points of doctrine may seem strange to many who were taught dispensationalism or amillennialism, they are precisely what the Bible teaches, and what the earliest Christians believed before Greek philosophy corrupted pristine Christianity.

This website contains a completely new translation of Revelation with extensive commentary notes, and an audio class on the entire book of Revelation.

Knowing the details of eschatology is not enough, however. The Bible also contains a great deal of spiritual guidance and instruction on how to survive and thrive in the last days. The book of Hebrews provides the navigational chart for the treacherous dark waters ahead and how to survive both the apostasy and persecution of the last seven years. Unfortunately, Hebrews has been largely obscured by inadequate translation and grossly skewed by commentator bias. This site contains an entirely new translation of Hebrews, with commentary notes, bringing to light:

  • The predominant eschatological theme of the book
  • Its teaching of the 6000 year "millennial week" and "seventh day Sabbath Rest"
  • Clear mention of the tribulation, the final apostasy, and the Antichrist
  • Personal instruction on how to persevere througth these things
  • The hope of the Christian is an inheritance in the Land God promised to Abraham and His Seed
  • Please print out our translation of both Hebrews and Revelation for future reference. You are going to need them.
